Fergie's retirement WILL bring about a period of instability to the Devils. They will probably appoint Massimo Taibi or Stinky Mc Fad as his successor. I hope something similar will happen to Arsenal as well, once the whiner Wenger leaves.

History in a Kaleidoscope

What do you get when you have to mug and you cannot blog frequently? You get a post chock-full of content.

First, an update on the National Science Challenge.
After the first round, the scores read SJI 4, ZHSS 2, RI 2.
After the second round, the scores read SJI 22, ZHSS 18, RI 22.
After the third round, the scores read SJI 31, ZHSS 29, RI 30.
Then came the disaster in the last round. All 3 of us had mental blocks; we did not press the buzzer for some questions even though we knew the answers! We answered 2 questions wrong and got a score of -2. ZHSS got -1. RI? +5.
Fish. RI were very slow in answering the questions and I am thoroughly disgusted and indignant at ourselves for allowing that Rafflesia an easy victory.
Well, that's that.

Then came National Day. Virtually every one raised eyebrows at the CLS Wushu Performance, probably as it showcased merely basic movements. On the floating platform, President Nathan neither recited the pledge nor sang the national anthem. The scholars had fun at the Asean Dance too.

Meanwhile, I was mugging and mugging and mugging. Quite like being bound to a nine-to-five desk job. Eventually, I finished in the joint-top position with Alvin in the class -- not taking into consideration the fact that Alvin takes Higher Mother Tongue whereas I think Express Mother Tongue.

The National Science Challenge (Qualifying Round)

Yesterday, I went for the aforementioned event with Monty, Vinod, JP and Alvin.
Was there cheemology? Yes, I had never heard of pulsars before.
After the competition, we walked 1km, Monty left and then the rest of us walked back 1km along a road bearing a strange name, "Biopolis Road". There was another road called "Central Exchange Green", which few taxi drivers probably know of.
Then, in a random order, they announced the names of the schools that had qualified for the Quarter-Finals (like SJI) but not before showing us a video of last year's edition. That humiliated us, as SJI was 12 points behind HydroCarbon Iodide and 9 behind VickyJC Zhitongche.
I was really hoping that RI would not enter. Alas, it was the last to be announced.
Schools that have failed to qualify this year include MGS, Tanjong Katong Girls', CHIJ St Nicholas (despite having notes printed out by the teachers there), Nanyang Girls', NJC (IP), VJC (IP) and St Margaret's.
Then, the organisers pooled SJI into Group C through a lucky draw. Fortunately, we avoided ACSI, NUS High and HydroCarbon Iodide. We got dark horses Zhonghua Sec and shitty RI instead.
I hope we'll do well.
The author will bask in glory for now.

Additionally, West Ham is not docked points for breaching U18. Instead, this inconsistent club receives a fine and goes on to defy the odds of relegation.

You can cheat but you can still win. You can cheat but you lose 10 points less than another club that is being sucked into administration.

I Need Some Answers

I never knew that it was allowed until now. The Debate leaders failed to include Xavier's, Wei Jun's and my names in the CCA name list and never told us their reasons. They just told me today, "You're out.". No wonder they had not informed us of any CCA meetings. Whenever they see us, they just say, "Hi.", treating us as fools.
Perhaps it was because we kept joking constantly and incessantly during Debate meetings such that they were irritated. It could also be because last year in T4W2, when they asked us to go for a meeting, we told them that the examinations had approached too soon and thus it replies that "two weeks are a long time". WJ, Xav and I went on to do well enough and enter the top four classes whereas seventy-five per cent of them were in the Double Science class. They probably grew furious and...
In my opinion, skipping meetings does not warrant a permanent suspension from our CCAs. In fact, the student leaders do not have any right to kick us out of Debate without mutual agreement. They never told us that we were out. This shows how cunning and sly the Debate leaders are. They took advantage of Mr Johnson's not knowing that we had been inside last year (and are still inside) to exclude us from the name list. I am thoroughly infuriated and disgusted at their manipulation and will never want to see Marcus Sim, Brian Lim and Brian Chow again.
The author requires time to cool down and relax.

Yay, I'm just 1 year away from watching NC-16 movies!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This term is rather hectic. The mass swim was very tiring and I suffered another leg cramp.
About my results, I achieved top position in the level for EL. I think my comprehension marks are flukes because on average, I only score about 31/50. Now I'm scoring 34/50 and 40/50 soI don't think my lofty standing will last for long. Not before the top guns get raring to go after 1 week of break.
Despite scoring 80% for Social Studies + History Elective, I only managed to get into Band 2 of the cohort. How intelligent the scholars are. Alvin acquired 7A1s and 2 B4s and is in poll position in the class, possibly in the level too. 5 of his strongest subjects scored 90% on average. Pro, eh? Nevertheless, I'm still 2nd in class.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
There's this scholar in the class called Tuan. Slacker. King. Did you know that he escaped a whole PE lesson while the rest of us were slugging it out at the Long Jump pit? Nobody knew where he had gone to spend 50 minutes. Really 不翼而飞。
To the rest, be healthy and happy and rejoice for the long-awaited holidays are finally here to chid the fleet-footed Father Time (unless you have to got for the camps organised by the Scouts and the Prefectorial Board instead *!@#$%^&*() Boohoohoo!*)!

School's started, I'm tired.
I'm still surprised that I have the last index number in 332. What's more, there are 35 students. As expected, few people are taking Lit 2014. However, there are 23 students taking His 2192/3! Yay! + 4 Viet and 8 Indonesian scholars!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha!

By the way, the S1 Orientation Camp just ended.
I think we did the best and cooperated the most in Caterpillar Chase. However, we were totally whitewashed in Sock Thief and were almost single-handedly defeated by the Broughton guy in The (Candle) Race.

JP and Brandon went back to school to gossip about our form tutors for the next 2 years, I've heard.

Debbie as Zach's form tutor (336) for next year is rather spectacular; I've thought she would be teaching 101. 331's is the Maths Olympiad teacher and 332's is Mr Raymond Wong! 2-metre Madras for my form tutor... hmmm.

I found out that Asad's neighbour at Ah Hood Road is none other than Mr Malcolm Wong. Matt's doing just fine, I don't know how he manages to tolerate eating "snozzcumber" yin choi every day. John's in 333 and Peh's doing Triple-Science as well. YAY.

LOL. 4D3N. No of baths? ZERO. Whereas the teachers bathe twice a day, living in picturesque chalets compared to our mediocre, "waterproof", tents that are as flimsy as jelly. The toilets also overflowed. There were 10 toilets in all, 5 for the teachers and the other 5 for students. All 5 toilets for the students could not flush properly whereas the teachers' toilets worked perfectly.

The fact that I was looking at Anan offended him too.

Without Benjy's, Emmanuel's and Jangam's hard work, we would have perished a million times over.

I love my scrambled eggs. Credits to Jangam as well.

Orienteering nice? Geography is boring.

Lastly, we were jogging all the way back from Jungle Survival -- the best activity -- when we met Charles Rajan.

Then he bloody hell drove away.
Later, after we had recovered, he criticised us for making a mistake of recovering without his permission. How were we to recover if he had driven away? Siao... No wonder Joseph the ACE leader vented his anger later by spraying water on Nathan's car, in which Rajan was sitting in when he shouted, "Hornet".

So that's the real reason why the teachers had always told us that we would enjoy ACE Camp; they enjoy it much more than us.

Yay. After two months of mugging, I’m finally back to blogging.
Today, I went back to Cambridge Road Market for the first time in 2 years.
Then, I met some people unexpectedly.
Firstly, there was Ruisheng, Ruizhi’s second brother was somehow offended by Ruiwhateverhisnameis, Ruizhi’s third brother. Soon, Ruisheng was bringing the roof down, and Ruiwhateverhisnameis was on the verge of tears. I thought that this was rather sad, as Ruisheng was no longer the innocent classmate of my younger brother who I used to know.
The second person was my K2 form teacher. When I reminded Mrs Phua of Lack, she commented that he was very short and susceptible to tears. I can’t wait to see his face when he reads this.
Thus, I’m glad that the exam is finally over. For now I’m just awaiting the bloody results in trepidation.

Who’s selfish here?
JK asked if we wanted her to go through the answers for the July RD worksheets issue. I said yes because I did not want to waste the efforts and time of all those in the class who had completed it, including me.
Then, Fatnon accused me of being egocentric.
That’s stoopid. Shouldn’t it be the ones who did not do the homework, who are selfish to those who did it, and not the other way around?
Later on, the TDP English class were going to LT3 for some drama. We were waiting for JK to come up with the keys. While doing so, I was walking face to face with Fatnon. I walked as far away as possible to avoid hitting him, and he just bumped into me, knocking me back almost a metre, and walked on as if I was invisible. So indignant was I that I just whacked him on the back, and he was still brazen enough to confront me, as if nothing was wrong.
The point is that Fatnon has no ballast to base his arguments on. As fat as a sausage.
And who’s the one who has been sucking up to Willie while accusing every object, living or dead, around him of being “gay”?Kindergarten…
Then there was CLS Sec 4 Farewell Party. Shiok man. Peng You rocks. And Matt made it the God when he played it with 208 at Teachers’ Day.
I went back to SMS for the celebrations and Kevin Wong met up with his old DTP gang. All the childish acts rang a bell in my memory. I reminisced of most things they did in P6, which I could not understand. I don’t blame JP for not being used to these clownish vignettes’ antics. & I don’t blame old members Lack and HawiWijaya if they are ashamed.
BTW I have a new pair of white and black plastic spectacles. I hope I don’t lose my identity…

Anyway, I was reading today’s Sunday Times. There was one article that pissed me.
“Liverpool had to come from behind to win. How not dominant!”
Now this is stupid. Just because the Reds had to overturn the tables on Hammers, ST thinks this task is mundane. If it were Singapore winning in such a way against China, it would have been a different headline.
Thus, I posted this, even though I should have done so only after FYE.
Lastly, I will try to take ST articles on movies and soccer with a pinch of salt from now onwards.

Stayed back to help Fishcake. He had his bag confiscated just because he left it outside the lockers in the library. How I empathized with him. I always have trouble locating an empty locker.

Then I found out why Cake had to stay back. He was coerced by Mr Sydney Tan to write an apology letter. Nevertheless, with my happy-balls character, I continued to joke with the exasperated cake.

“Is putting your bag in the wrong place a crime?”

Well, I was frank and I really did not see the point in putting your bag in the lockers. Josephians don’t steal!

As soon as Cake finished writing the apology letter, he had turned into soft jelly. Together with a few other supporters, I coaxed him into the just face reality for a few horrifying seconds and be done with it for the rest of your life. This time, I was sincere.

This is because Cake is also a Michaelian. Secondly, we all knew how much of the fighting spirit of a true Lasallian that Mr Tan can muster when it comes into scolding students.

When Cake came out of the gym, he said that he was relieved.

Not because the whole affair was over but because Mr Tan was laughing away when being handed an apology letter. What the hell! I could not believe a teacher could be so sadistic as to make you so terrified for some reason then laugh away as hilariously as a psychopath.

We then went home in the rain.

Today, a group of us mutilated Zach's teddy bear. Zachkanah the loss of his 心肝宝贝。 Poor fellow. The snoozer was yellow. Now, it has correction liquid and pen ink on it. At least they are mixtures. Zach shouldn't cry over spilt milk. Milk is a mixture anyway. However, Zach is also a mixture. So, go on Zach. BOO-HOO-HOO!

Missed the Miss World Pageant. Japan lost. Mexico and Puerto Rico were ugly. USA was short. None of the ladies there loved Minesweeper.

H**v*sters !@#$%^&*()!!! Adam and Timothy refuse to go to Mr Rajan's class for RME. Adam's a suck-up to East Bro. Not that that is a lousy thing to do but that Adam's too fussy. And he doesn't throw away his dishes after eating from them during recess. Lousy selfish racist lazy bastard who break-dances and buys magic tricks every day. Can't trust him. Yet. Doubt if he will even get started on the CX Filming project due this Fri.

Yea, Timothy ate my popcorn with a few other classmates. At least he's got the sense to pay up instantly. I told him that he shouldn't bear the full $! compensation but he insisted. Adam should learn more form his best friend and Timothy should learn not to slack.

P.S. The author is sorry and full of regrets for destroying Zach's bear, together with JP, JJ and Jeremy. After all, it was a voodoo doll containing Zach's fingernail and hair strand.

World Cup's over! That's it for 2006. I hope the next one in SA will be as promising as its nearly flawless logo. The stupid symbol of the trophy is not in sync.

Italy will not play in Africa's largest tournament. Karma will prevent such atrocious antics from occuring again but I hope it will happen against Azzurri's favour. Gross Grosso, the player who dived against Socceroos, is ironically the one who scored the winning penalty of the whole tournament. Sickening. I have replaced unfortunate Les Bleus and rowdy but beautiful cry-babies Argentina with Italy, on my hate list.

So many lessons taught by Der World Cup too. My attitude towards the 3 Lions will never be the same again.

England just can't gel. So many emerging talents, so many flops. I think Beckham should be dropped. You don''t need semi-circle free-kicks to win. Lennon should replace him because he is younger, shows more passion and is very useful down the wings. Rooney and Crouch can't play upfront alone. They're not Pauleta.

Rooney creates a lot of chances. He can also shoot from long-distance. if the piledrivers are about to go off targets, Walcott, the youngster only 25% as untried as Ribery, should be played to penetrate the defence with his speed and get the ball. Then, he can latch onto it and shoot or dribble past the opposing goalie. Lampard gets the lion's share of the chances but reacts like a cub. For Chelsea, he can score when shooting hip-length long distance shots. Now with England at the WC, kicking a faster ball, he can't put it into the net, as he shoots too low.

I think the global newspaper coverage should stop all the prattle about England. There will not be any appreciation of that if they under-perform incessantly. Now I realize how much I have been blinded. I always thought the other leagues, e.g. Bundesliga, Primera Liga, Serie A etc, are inferior to the EPL. Thus, if all this propaganda continues, I will stop supporting England. It is not equitable to fans of other nations' football teams, as the latter get scant coverage.

Then, the ball cannoned off Campbell's chest and into his teammate Lehmann's goal. Wow! First goal of the game! Quite an unforced error. Interminable sulking by Christiano.

Another handball. Unforced again. Nakata's game was his worst in 3 years. No one caught it, contrary to Nakata's belief. Lennon robbed the ball and skimpered away, unluckily denied by Lehmann. Mourinho cursed the F-word all over again. "IF YOU DON'T HANDBALL BUT OTHERS CLAIM OTHERWISE, JUST PLAY ON. DO THE SAME THING IF YOU HANDBALL."

What a weekend!

Fri 30 June
Stayed back in school till 10pm for the 2 Kindred Spirits Concert. During the interval for the second one, me and co. were all looking for the emcees *ahem* and we were approaching the toilet. Then modest Seng opened the male changing room door and to his horror, there were CHIJ girls inside changing into their costumes! So the new spread about that poor Nigel had been a victim to indecent exposure.
Then, half and hour later, tongue-in-cheek, Xavier, Khai and I were in a dilemma about whether we should go in, partly because of my firm reluctance. They suggested paying me money and then proposed that we 3 go together. How cunning! Did they want me to go alone? Well, Khai was nearing the door when he claimed he heard some girly noises. In fact, I didn't believe him. People taking so 0.5 hr to change? Ridiculous! I think the main reason why I didn't tear open the door to prove my point was because I was too chicken. The world is round anyway, u never know when there would be stark naked girls around the corner.
Abruptly, Old Boy and Performer Daniel Fong came bursting in through the other entrance to this walkway. Then action-er than flund the male changing room door open... then said," Oops! Sorry!" and left after reprimanding us two (Guileful Khai had already run off beforehand, leaving us stranded there at the wrath of the u-know-who.).
Thereafter, TLK accused me of conning JJ and Tham into the loo and this plot over and over again. *Sujay, can't u apologize?* & I almost missed the best parts of the CHIJ tights-dance performance being punished.
At least I'm not in SYF. Matt Lim said KS was gay but I think SYF is worse. If he says so, then he should confess about attending a LESBIAN party (IN HIS OWN WORDS)! Fri 23rd June
Went back to school for backstage helpers in KC Concert Rehearsal. Found out that there will not be any CCA points worth for it. WTH! But at least it's more meaningful than dancing in the hot sun in SYF. We can apply what we learn in Theatre Arts and also gain the experience. SYF is crap, it's not even National Day. Why make a Rooney out of a Taibi? Plus, without the music, nobody know's what the hell you are dancing to. They don't even know if you are doing the mambo shit. Nonetheless, there is one good point to note. I'M EXEMPTED!
Then I met Hari at the rehearsal. WTH! He's still talking about the stupid time one month ago when I inadvertantly had my shirt tucked out. I really didn't know about it then, man. Nobody needs to bring this up intermittently. Nobody gains anything from it.

Sat 24th June
Went to Maths Olympiad Special Round. The bloody duration was 3 hrs but there were only 5 questions. So hard, way beyond 'A' Levels' Standard. Are we geniuses? No. People like me are simply hardworking enough to get into a "Special" Round.

Mon 26th June
Back to school! First HIstory Lesson of the year, Ms Mara expectedly gave us a pep talk and a few anecdotes. I knew she had to. The class was too disorientated last year. I do hope I score a higher distinction in HIstory and Literature Final Year because I don't want to take boring Geography for 'O' Levels.

WORLD CUP UPDATES
England is too defensive. Can't wait for McClaren to really take over. I think he's the genuine solution. He made Boro attack incessantly, that's why they cound overturn 0-3 deficits to win comfortably twice in the Uefa Cup. Maybe if The Final had been two-legged, Boro could have even been Champions.

I honestly think Hiddink makes the World Cup boring if he keeps on winning. And USA should not have had a disallowed goal against Italy. When did McBride ever interfere with play? Offside my foot!

Bet you that Ghana will beat Brazil. Brazilians can't win with a 2-man midfield. Ghana's midfield is a hundredfold stronger. & on current form, I think Germany will beat Argentina. Deustcheland might even win the whole tournament...

Fish England. Eriksson's in his last tournament with the 3 Lions and they really suck.
Sorry to say this but this is really the minimum that a vitriolic England fan can do.
Walcott should have been tested against Paraguay, at least, or even against Trinidad. Otherwise, why bother bringing him? Johnson from Crystal Palace or Defoe from Hotspurs are both more experienced options. From the way Angola or even Togo play, England really looks like shit.

Les Bleus are disappointing... not for me of course! :)

I've never seen Fatherland play like that before. So brilliant, so attacking. Phillipp Lahm was so good, at 22 years old. More brilliant is that he's just a novice! I'm so impressed. The only thing that hinders me from switching camps is my conscience. Otherwise, I would have been an Arsenal fan long ago, revering the Beautiful Game earlier than just one year ago.

Maybe I'll remove Argentina from my hate list soon too... when I have the time. It's not that the Serbs suck, it's that Argentina are a new revelation, just like Germany the hosts. 6 goals speak many words, a hundredfold over, and it bereft us of all words.

PMS Blues VS Father's Day 18/6

Post-Menstrual Syndrome is intrinsic to the world. Without PMS, women might not have any menstrual cycle as it plays a huge role in females' lives. NO BABIES, MEN, HUMAN etc.

However, it sure played a huge part for me and my mom this day. She does not like me to sleep late at night for fear of malnourishment so she set a 10.30pm curfew. Then I broke it for only the second time in many months for just half-an-hour and she's fining 15 bucks. I'm like, totally stunned. WTH! She claims that the extra percentage of the fine results because I have been doing it consecutively but the previous time that I did so was 1 month ago! HOw it coincides with her PMS. But enough of that. Back to the point, I can't believe she assumed that I was woke up after half-an-hour once scratching my back then she thought I had only just got into bed. AF YOU SEE KAY!

Anyway, it's Fathers' Day tomorrow. Just realized it. With fun and laughter, peace and joy, let's all put on a mirth of (for some it's fake) merriment.

In my profile, it is stated that I hate the Argentine soccer team. Maradona was a genius, but his "Hand of God" was as crazy as today's Straits Times article. As much as I dislike Brazil for consistently being champions, I still would not want them to lose to the Argentinians. I can't believe that the newspaper has printed that samba style would undo them agianst the cheats. No wonder S-League is in such a bad shape, it's indluenced by all this crap.

Oh well, England B lost to Belarus. The latter is quite powerful, considering Hleb. But Lennon grew up in Leeds, that's the point.
